A donation from AGSS has allowed the Physics department to recently purchase 12 Ranger Power Supplies and 6 Power Signal Generators. The Ranger Power Supplies are a universal piece of Physics apparatus used by every year group on a nearly weekly basis. They provide a controllable low voltage (0-15 volts) output (both AC and DC) at currents up to 8 Amps. Mr Hunt and Mr Smith gave up their time to give members of the AGSS a practical demonstration of the apparatus, complete with sparks!
Community Cashback Award

Community Cashback Awards are available to staff in all of the companies that make up The Royal Bank of Scotland group (NatWest, Ulster Bank, Direct Line, Churchill, Coutts, Lombard Direct, The One Account, Tesco Personal Finance or Adam and Company). If any other parents work for this group (or others that may offer a similar scheme) AGSS would be very grateful for their support - there is simply a very short form to complete and AGSS will provide a supporting letter.

One of our AGSS parents, Alison Purvis, who works for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, has had her voluntary work with AGSS recognised by her employer and she has been able to donate her Community Cashback Award (a cheque for £250) to AGSS funds. Thank you, Alison!

There is no need to spend a vast amount of your own time to be eligible for an award.
