The Adams’ Grammar School Society (AGSS) is an enthusiastic and active parent, teacher and student body. It organises regular social events and makes a significant contribution to the school through its fund-raising activities.

Diary Dates Summer Ball Saturday 28 June 2008 7 PM - 2 AM	Summer Ball Raffle A big thank you to those who have already contributed a prize or made a cash donation to the Summer Ball raffle! However we are still looking for more items to include in our major raffle categories. Our proposed packages and items we would like are - English Garden - garden furniture, plants, pots, tools, BBQ Sports Supreme - sports equipment or tickets Indulgence - luxury food items for hamper, wine, wicker basket House and Home - electrical items, Family Fun - Theme Park tickets. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated, whether a prize or a cash donation that we may use to purchase prizes for the night. 		New Fundraising Venture AGSS is embarking on a venture with Fones4Schools and would like your help to raise £300 by collecting 200 old mobile phones which can be of any age and in any condition. More information about how you can help will soon be available. Next committee meetings...

The AGSS aims to advance the education of Adams’ pupils by:

• developing closer links between parents, teachers and other school staff;
  
• organising activities which support the school and its pupils;
  
• fundraising to help provide school facilities and items for education.

AGSS has recently contributed nearly £8000 towards funding for items for various departments throughout the school, including

• T-shirts for Arts Production Crew
• Climbing Wall equipment

Below are listed some of the previous items either purchased outright by the AGSS
or which the AGSS has partly funded:

As well as these larger items the AGSS has helped with

• the refurbishment of the swimming pool;
• the provision of library books, sports kit and performing arts equipment; 
• maintenance of the minibus;
• gardening items;
• and television and video equipment.
